How to fight Druid
Beat Restoration Druid
What they want to do
Keep Lifebloom and Rejuvenation rolling on the partner you are hitting, Cyclone the extra DPS as you press cooldowns, Ironbark the first stun, then sit in Bear Form until those cooldowns are gone. They win Solo Shuffle when Cyclone turns the round into a 2v2 and Ironbark plus Bear Form eat the dump.
Main danger
Cyclone on the extra DPS so your stun is a 2v2, plus Ironbark overlapping Bear Form on the kill target so the first go does nothing.
Interrupt priority
1 Cyclone
Kick this first every time. A free Cyclone on the extra DPS turns the round into a 2v2. Do not trinket it — it is not dispellable. Hold for the real cast if they cancel to bait you.
1 Convoke the Spirits if talented
Kick or stun the channel immediately. Second only to Cyclone. If it lands, crowd-control them so the channel dies.
2 Tranquility
Hard channel. Stun it, or kick it after Cyclone, not instead of it. Do not let the channel finish on a stacked team.
3 Swiftmend / Nourish
Only when Cyclone is not being cast. Never spend the interrupt on Swiftmend while Cyclone is in the air.
Watch for
- Cyclone on the extra DPS the moment you press cooldowns — stop the dump until it ends.
- Ironbark overlapping Bear Form on your kill target. Swap or wait; do not finish caster cooldowns into both.
- Entangling Roots or Ursol's Vortex planting whoever you are killing so Mighty Bash or Cyclone can land.
- Mighty Bash from cat or caster form while you are rooted.
Offensive cooldowns
- Convoke the Spirits. Channel that heals and damages at random. Kick or stun it. Second only to Cyclone — do not hold this interrupt for a Swiftmend.
- Cat stun (Maim) if hybrid. They swap into cat to land Maim on you or the peeler. Trinket the stun if Cyclone is still available; do not sit it into a follow-up Cyclone.
Defensive cooldowns
- Ironbark. External damage reduction on the kill target. Swap or wait the duration. Do not dump the first stun into a fresh Ironbark.
- Barkskin. Short personal damage reduction. Keep chip pressure unless they are also in Bear Form.
- Bear Form. Armor and health spike. Do not spend caster cooldowns into full Bear Form. Physical pressure still works; swap or wait the form.
- Tranquility. Channeled team heal. Kick or stun it. Do not spend this interrupt while Cyclone is being cast.
- Grove Guardians / Tree. Healing ramps and Tree of Life. Keep the interrupt for Cyclone, not the tree. Crowd-control them if the ramp is topping without a kick.
Crowd control
- Cyclone
- Entangling Roots
- Mighty Bash
- Vortex
- Hibernate (vs beasts/dragons)
- Maim
Dispels
- Cyclone is not dispellable — do not trinket it. Sit it and hit whoever is left.
- They dispel magic, curse, and poison. Do not leave a long crowd-control sitting if the druid is free.
- Hibernate is magic and only works on beasts and dragonkin — dispel it if you can, and do not trinket it over Mighty Bash.
Mobility
Travel Form, Dash, Wild Charge, Ursol's Vortex. They kite in forms, not on foot. Root or trap the landing; do not chase Travel Form through a pillar. Wild Charge is a gap-closer and a peel — cover where they land.
Kill windows
- Ironbark is down and they are not in Bear Form
- They Cycloned the wrong target
- Caught in caster form without Barkskin
When to run
You swap, you do not run — unless Ironbark and Bear Form are both on the kill. If Cyclone is on the extra DPS, stop the dump until Cyclone ends.
When to attack
After Ironbark. While they are not in Bear Form. After a Cyclone spent on the wrong target. Catch them in caster form without Barkskin.
Common tricks
- They Cyclone the extra DPS, not the kill, so your damage looks like it is working. Stop the dump until the extra DPS is free.
- Bear Form is for your caster cooldowns. Force it with cheap pressure, then go when they leave form.
- Entangling Roots on the melee, Cyclone on the caster, every time. Kick the Cyclone; the root is the setup.
Common mistakes against them
- Trinketing Cyclone on your partner.
- Interrupting Swiftmend while Cyclone is still being cast.
- Dumping caster cooldowns into Ironbark plus Bear Form.
- Chasing Travel Form instead of rooting or trapping the landing.
30 second cheat sheet
- kick
- Interrupt Cyclone first every time. Convoke the Spirits and Tranquility are second. Never spend your kick on Swiftmend while a Cyclone is being cast.
- watchFor
- Cyclone on the extra DPS as you press cooldowns turns the round into a 2v2. Ironbark overlapping Bear Form eats your first go. Entangling Roots or Ursol's Vortex plant the kill.
- defensives
- Stop the dump into Ironbark — swap or wait. Do not spend caster cooldowns into Bear Form. Barkskin is a short reduction; keep chip unless they are also in bear.
- cc
- Cyclone is not dispellable — do not trinket it. Entangling Roots and Ursol's Vortex plant you for the clone. Mighty Bash is the stun; Hibernate only works on beasts and dragonkin.
- killWindow
- Go after Ironbark is down and they are not in Bear Form. A Cyclone they spent on the wrong target is the window. Catch them in caster form without Barkskin.
- biggestMistake
- Trinketing Cyclone on your partner, or interrupting Swiftmend while Cyclone is still being cast.
